Respect for the environment
Marangoni has always given priority to advanced technological research and the development of new technologies to reduce usage of energy resources and protect the environment.
The entire Marangoni range has been designed to safeguard the environment, through the development of compounds providing low rolling resistance and high mileage, guaranteeing a reduction in fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

, moreover, all Marangoni tyres are developed using ecological compounds that contain no aromatic oils, in line with European directive 76/769/EEC.
Not just tyres with low rolling resistance, for maximum fuel savings; not just oil-free compounds; not just environmentally-friendly technology: Marangoni’s environmental focus spans the complete tyre production and life cycle.
The Anagni plant in fact features three systems for the production of clean energy: one waste-to-energy plant that takes tyres that are disposed of when no longer useful and uses them to generate electricity (3MW); a photovoltaic system called Finma-Marangoni with solar panels covering a total of around 7,000 m2, installed in 2011 on the roof of the new logistics centre and producing around 1 MW of power, as well as saving over 700,000 kg/year in carbon dioxide emissions; finally, a turbogas system that generates around 5 MW of energy, accounting for all of the plant’s electricity demand, and around 80% of the heat needed for the curing process and central heating in winter.
