Mito M430 Marangoni: tuning version with special red tyres.
“Cinderella in red… evening gown, red shoes”. This is how one of the most authoritative Italian tuning magazines has described the M430, the 2009 demo car that Marangoni, in perfect “made in Italy” style, has chosen to reinforce its constant commitment to tuning, with a project that perfectly combines tuning and aesthetics.
Starting from a 1.4 litre turbo petrol model, the M430 is a complete reworking of the car, with considerable changes to the bodywork, engine, interior, braking system and trim.
The source of inspiration for this demo car was the Maranello red, hence the name M430.
Major changes were made to the outside bodywork and especially the front bumpers, which has two wide Ferrari-esq. air intake grills. The rear diffuser is made entirely from carbon fibre with the reversing light incorporated into the centre extractor opening, leaving space for four unique exhaust pipes. The gullwing doors are fitted with special LSD hinges.
The white bodywork on the bottom part contrasts with the incandescent red of the top, giving the car a true sporting look. The hood has been air brushed with the tread strip of the Mythos tyre, adding a further touch of elegance.
On the inside, the vehicle’s sporting look continues, with red and black seats, floor and ceiling, highlighting the car’s uniqueness and sporting heart. The interior finishes have been made even more precious by Swarovski stones on the pedals, and the gear and handbrake levers. The tricolore flag, symbolising “made in Italy”, is also part of the interior restyling.
Last but certainly not least are our Cinderella’s shoes. For this truly sporting interpretation, Marangoni decided to develop a limited series of its ultra high performance Mythos tyres, using a special red compound, in perfect symbiosis with the new look of the vehicle.
Every time she puts her feet on the ground the M430 leaves a long red trail, created by the red Marangoni Mythos tyres fitted on the vehicle. These special tyres have been developed by adding special coloured pigments to the compound, specially created by the Marangoni Research & Development Centre; despite being a prototype, these are real working tyres that can be used without any technical consequences.
The new aesthetic design of the Mito and its intense Italian flavour make the Marangoni M430 a successful product in terms of elegance and sophistication.
The tuning project was, as usual, handled by TRC Italia, which in 2008, again in collaboration with Marangoni, developed the first tuning prototype of the new Fiat 500.
